to the girl who hasnt been herself lately

To the girl who hasn’t been herself lately… you’ve been holding on for a while now. And if no one has told you yet… I am proud of you! I am proud of you because through every storm that has passed, you remained strong and did not break. You refuse to be broken again.

You’re not understanding why all of this is happening. You’re confused as to why you don’t feel like your normal self. You want her back. But it is a fight to get her back and you’re struggling a bit.

Hiding your emotions? You’ve mastered that. You’re so fragile at this point you can’t bear another storm, another heartbreak…. another anything!

Lately, things have been so hectic for you, including your home life, love life, and work life. You keep climbing but something there is keeping you from reaching this breakthrough you always hope for.

Your friends are saying you’re acting differently. Your coworkers are assuming you’re going through something. And then there is your family, who knows something is wrong but don’t speak about it. Truth is, you’re just trying to get back to the girl you used to be. You’re having trouble finding her and you’re kind of stuck getting there.

To laugh again, so hard until your stomach hurts is what you want back. Surrounding yourself with people who love you just as much as you love them. You want to feel free again! You just want your spark back. It is important to you.
You lost yourself and it feels really weird. You’re wondering when your real self will be back. You’re wondering if things will be like this forever.

To the girl who hasn’t been herself lately; Don’t give up just yet!

Your breakthrough is coming. Your pure bliss moments are seeking you right now as you read this blog post. Your light will return. That fire will return. Your happiness will be genuine and you will feel like yourself again. I promise… it is coming!

Sometimes in life, we are distracted by various things and we may not even notice it. God may have had a reason for you to get distracted and go through these types of changes.

But don’t give up on yourself. I’m not giving up on you.

Listen to me, I’ve been exactly where you are now. And I know, it is not nice. It’s dark, it is scary, and it is a terrifying place to be stuck in. But you have to hold on to your hopes. Don’t allow yourself to give up. You have a whole life ahead of you full of ups and downs.

Do not stay down after only one missed step along the way. You cannot let your failures discourage you. Why? Because I am almost certain that you are stronger than you actually think. I know that you have a spark inside your beautiful soul that is waiting to be reignited any moment now.

Continue staying on top of everything in life and handling business like you are doing. It is not going unnoticed. God sees you. I promise he does. So don’t stop! Keep working hard at life, sweet girl! And remember, I am proud of you.

As I said in one of my previous posts, rainy days do not last forever! And I understand if you feel like it’s never-ending. We all experience this. But just keep pushing through like you’ve been doing because there will come a time where you look back at all of this and realize how much it made you stronger. You will also see how much you have grown from this. I promise your light will be back and you will shine brighter than you ever did!

Strange how God brings the right thing when we need it. I articulated almost these exact words earlier today in a phone conversation. Thank you for this reminder. All the best to you and your venture here!
